Here are some tips: Gather your friends and build your Care4 Team! Make sure everyone registers so they receive a Care4 shirt to wear on the day of your event! Plan your route- there are no rules! Want to do a 5K? Use a course on the website or create your own! Use your Fitbit or Apple Watch to track your distance. Make sure everyone has a copy of the route or you can even mark it out ahead of time with chalk, balloons, signs, whatever. Want to do a little bit each day and walk together with your pals at work on lunchbreak? Great! The point is to get out there- walk, run, skip or even bike to help raise funds and awareness of Family Health Partnership Clinic. Then, the Afterparty is the time to really Pink it Up! Celebrate completing your Care4 race (and more importantly, celebrate that you are making sure all our neighbors have access to quality health care!) in style! Everything from pink cupcakes to pink wine was on the menu last year at many of the Care4 Virtual events and dance parties ensued as well. You are only limited by your imagination- we can't wait to see what you have planned this year- so take lots of pics and post to social media with #Care4goeshybrid or send them via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pam & her Team, the Pink Zebras, decorated her backyard with years of Care4 shirts, zebras, and a festive beach party theme. Pam made her own precisely laid out Care4 route throughout downtown McHenry & utilized the beautiful Riverwalk too. She even had signage posted around town letting folks know how to stay on the route!
The Beaugureau Team made it a family affair- complete with a Medal ceremony!
Many teams utilized the Downtown Crystal Lake 5K course- dressed all in their Care4 Pink with tutus galore and some even celebrated with a ceremonial CLB beer!
We had participants from around the country and the best thing is PETS are welcome at the Virtual Care4!
