Story

I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the 26th Annual Care4 Breast Cancer 5K this year! 💗

This event means so much to me because it supports the Family Health Partnership Clinic, which provides annual mammograms, early detection and critical healthcare services to uninsured individuals in our community.

This fundraiser also supports breast cancer survivors like my mother, and honors loved ones lost too soon.

Finding out my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer around 2 years ago was by far the most gut wrenching experience I have ever had to endure. I thought right there and then I had already lost my mother for good… boy was I wrong:) because of the countless hours, days, weeks and months she put into KICKING cancers a** and the yearly test my mom was able to take and catch this terrible disease early on… my mother is now CANCER FREE!! If I could stop anyone from having to go through what my mother went through, or the pain our family endured during the time. I most certainly would. Unfortunately, that is not possible. What is possible, is making other families lives more accessible to the type of care my mother was able to receive.

My goal is to raise $300 to help work towards providing these life saving services to other women and their families, and I’d be so grateful for your support. Whether it’s a donation, joining me or simply cheering me on, it all makes a difference!

Together, we can ensure that early detection is accessible to all!
